Special Cordsets - O.E.M.

Custom cordset service is a specialty at LINEMASTER, that is offered to the Original Equipment Manufacturer on a direct basis. Special cordsets are available to the O.E.M. as a separate item or as part of a complete foot switch assembly.

Linemaster will manufacture special cordsets to the Original Equipment Manufacturer's specifications. Whether it be with one of our molded-on plugs or an attached type connector by another manufacturer, we will be happy to submit a quotation. We will also use any cable, as specified by the customer. If you have requirements for a special cordset, please consider Linemaster as your source and give us your complete specifications.

The selection of an interfacing connector should not precede the selection of the cable. The abuse factor may require that a heavier cable construction type be selected that can be accommodated in a desired interfacing connector. A small size connector may be desirable, but not at the price of unnecessary field problems due to an unsuitable cable selection.

Another design consideration is that the cable be provided with a suitable strain relief where the cable enters the foot switch housing. For most non-watertight applications, Linemaster offers a high quality, molded-on, cable strain relief grommet. When ajustable, two screw, cable clamps are used, a flexible bushing can be added over the cable, when required to give added cable strain relief or flex protection. In watertight applications, a properly sized, watertight, cable strain relief connector should be specified to maintain the integrity of the watertight seal where the cable enters the foot switch housing.
